Tidbits; Buling-buling Festival was started by the late Brgy. Chairman of San Isidro, Adolfo A. Alvarez way back in the 1960s. This is held every 15th of May of the year as way of thanksgiving in the people of Brgy. San Isidro. It is celebrated by putting black soot on the faces of the participants which they would eventually wash of at the beach. Nowadays, buling-buling festival is revised with a modern twist and conceptualized by the very creative Barangay Chairman Hon. Ian Jay L. Arevalo. The festival has been redefined and evolved into a party to give Lookanons, and the people of Palompon a break from the rigorous preparation for the different activities in the fiesta in honor of the patron Saint, San Isidro Labrador. Congratulations! Indeed it was superb and fantastic summer event ….
